Hotel Materra participated in the 7th International Rural Tourism Congress, one of the most significant professional gatherings dedicated to the development of sustainable and authentic tourism in rural areas.

The congress was held on the island of Rab and brought together numerous experts, institutional representatives, and tourism professionals from Croatia and abroad.

As part of the program, Hotel Director Nina Dumančić took part in the panel discussion titled “Rural Tourism Stars – The Transformation of Rural Areas”, where participants discussed the importance of developing high-quality and sustainable tourism offerings, preserving the identity of rural regions, and the potential of continental tourism.

Through the exchange of experiences and examples of best practices, the congress opened discussions on the future of rural tourism, with a special focus on sustainability, innovation, and creating authentic guest experiences.
